At Snickerdoodles Photography, we firmly believe in giving back. That’s why we donate a portion of every portrait session to a missions organization or charity of your choice.
No preference? We’ll choose one for you, if you’d like.
Below is a list of some of the organizations we like to support:
CHARITY: WATER is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. 100% of donations directly fund water projects.
BEADED HOPE’s mission is to fight HIV/AIDS one person at a time by providing South Africans with the opportunity to earn an income, support their families and nurture their creativity while preserving age-old African beadwork traditions. It is their hope that survival will no longer be a struggle, food will be prevalent, family units will be whole and lives will be changed.
OneCity is a Cincinnati organization whose hope is, that by developing local best-practice collaboratives across our city, we can help turn the tide on such issues as poverty, chronic unemployment and homelessness. Their mission is to multiply the impact of the church so people in Cincinnati experience the radical, life-changing love of Christ.
INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE MISSION: Nearly 2 million children are exploited in the commercial sex industry. Trafficking in humans generates profits in excess of 12 billion dollars a year for those who, by force and deception, sell human lives into slavery and sexual bondage. More children, women and men are held in slavery right now than over the course of the entire trans-Atlantic slave trade. IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
RESTAVEK FREEDOM FOUNDATION is another Cincinnati organization whose mission is to put an end to child slavery in Haiti. There are more than 300,000 restavak children living in Haiti today, and the Restavek Freedom Foundation provides these children opportunities for education, advocates for enslaved children, and raises awareness on a global scale to end modern-day slavery in Haiti. (Restavek is a Creole term which literally means “stay with.” An accurate term in that these children do stay with their hosts, working as domestic servants in exchange for a roof over their head, some leftover food and, supposedly, the ability to go to school. In practice, though, the restaveks are easy prey for exploitation. Many are beaten, sexually abused and frequently denied access to education, since many host families believe that schooling will only make them less obedient.)
