You’ll Want To Touch It | Cincinnati Child + Family Photographer

You haven’t experienced an album until you experience a Dream album.  This is a fact.

Your images should be displayed, whether that is in the form of an album, framed prints or a gallery wrapped canvas.  The choice is up to you, but please, my friends.  Pleeeeaaase.  For the love of Peter, don’t let your digital images just sit on the CD, collecting dust.

Pshaw.  Tsk-tsk, my friend Jackie would say.

Print them.  Display them.  Show them off.  Be proud of them.  I want you to look at your images every. single. day.  And have your heart feel happy.

Over the past 5 years, I have tried many different album companies (5?… 6?), and the Dream Album Company, in my humble opinion, is the absolute best.  When the UPS man knocks on my door, it’s like Christmas every time.

Here’s a recent 9×9 album that I designed for a client.  You’ll want to touch it.

The dense, 2 mm thick archival fuji pages are handcrafted from artisan Japanese paper.  It’s not your typical album.  At all.  Have a looksie…

The albums are so beautiful and unique (I feel a wee bit like a car salesman, and if you know me, you know that I am so not salesman-like).  They truly are beautiful.  Each is a work of art.  I wish you could reach through the screen and touch the quality.  I love these albums.  Can ya tell?  Yes?  Yes.

The cover is waterproof and so durable.  And I don’t know how they do it, but it doesn’t attract fingerprints (and I have a lot of little fingerprinting fingers up in here).

The seamless binding allows the album to open flat into one big spread.  Here are a few 2-page spreads from the same album.

Can you picture it?  The album is open and lying flat here, and I’m shooting from above.  Got me?  Good.

The Dream Album shows off your photos with such impact and impeccability (here I go again, all salesman-like).  I am proud to offer these albums in three different sizes: 6×6, 9×9 and 12×12.  One day, I’ll have one for each of my 3 kids.  One day.  When I hire a full time nanny, a cleaning lady and I sit around and eat bon bons all day.;)

P.S. Want to see them in person?  Here’s how it works: I come to your house.  We do a photo session (a.k.a. family snuggle-fest, tickle-me-silly party, bed-jumping extravaganza).  I digitally edit and perfect each photo for your viewing presentation.  I come back to your house.  I bring with me samples of albums.  You ooooh and ahhhhh and tell me that I was right about the Dream albums [wink, wink].  You can be in your jammies, with your feet up, enjoying a nice glass of red.  Sounds pretty great, huh?  It is.  Want to read more about what a photo session is like?  Click here.

P. P. S. Thanks for the well wishes the other day.  Baby’s stomach bug is gone and all is well.  He’s back to crawling all over this place and getting into everything.  And when I say everything, I mean everything. Saddest moment of the day ——> when he crawled up, and got stuck under the end table for the 14th time.  Tears.  And anger.  What Mom doesn’t rescue her baby right away, but laughs and snaps a photo?  I couldn’t help myself.

Have You Seen These? | Cincinnati Family Photography

Have you seen these pillows?  Be still my pillow-lovin’ heart.

I MUST get one for Tate (new baby on the way).

And then maybe one for Lily (4 year old sweetlittlefireball. lordhavemercy).

And then one for Mac (5 year old who lost his 2nd tooth today. Btw. In a piece of gum).

But I must have one for Tate. ASAP. Because babies can’t even use pillows. But mommies like how they look in baby’s room. *wink wink*

Check out all of her goodness if you’d like. Oh my stars.

P.S. I am not affiliated with this gem of an artist – just saw her stuff and said me likey a lot.

P.P.S. All of these images belong to her – just posting them up here on the bloggity so you can ogle like I did.

P.P.P.S. Is ogle a word? Brain cramping lately.

The end.

Free Mother’s Day Download | Cincinnati Family Photography

It’s another freebie up on the bloggity, y’all.  Niiiiiiice, says you.  You’re very welcome, says me.  Happy to spread some Mother’s Day love.

It all started today when I stumbled upon a fabulous quote.  And I said, “Ooooh that MUST be made into a card.”  Ready?

“Few of us will reach our potential without the nurturing of both the mother who bore us and the mothers who bear with us.”

Pretty great, right?  And so true.

Here’s how it turned out:

I just printed it on white cardstock, folded it in half, and there you have it.  Easy peasy.

You can find the download for the front HERE and the back HERE.

Just open the link, then go to file | save as | and save it to your computer.  Just FYI, both files are sized 8.5×11, but you can’t see the top/bottom when you open the files, because they’re white.  Following me?

Print the front.  Then feed the cardstock back into the printer to print the inside (every printer is different – you may have to experiment a couple of times before you get it right).  Voila.  Done-skie.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY FROM LITTLE OL’ ME TO FABULOUS YOU.

Free Blog Love Card, Y’all |Cincinnati Family Photography

Just because it’s Sunday.  And I love Sunday.

And Spring has [finally] sprung.  And I love Spring.

And this is my Blog.  And I big, big love my Blog Readers ♥

A free Sunday|Spring|Blog-love-kind-of download for y’all.

And yes, I do like to say y’all.  Like I think I should be wearing cowboy boots, chewin’ on a piece of straw and livin’ large in Texas.  Don’t hate, internets.   I am a Cincinnati girl, but I do like to dream I’m a cowgirl sometimes.

Above is the front – below is the back.

This is sized to be a 5×7 flat card, printed on both the front and back.

I left a little space for you to sign your name or write a little note.  Pretty nifty, eh?

You can have these printed wherever you’d like, but I always send my clients to Mpix for their personal printing needs.  Mpix does a fabulous job on photos, as well as press-printed items.  Try ‘em out! [btw, I'm not associated with Mpix in any way - I just think they're snazzy and reliable. 2 things that are a must, right?]

FIND THE DOWNLOAD FOR THE FRONT HERE AND THE BACK HERE. Once it opens, go to file | save as | and save it to your computer.  Easy peasy.

To order from MPIX, you can go HERE and sign up for a free account.  Order the 5×7 postcards, and they’ll be printed on front and back like a notecard.  You can request envelopes at no additional charge.  Like I said.  Snazzy.

ENJOY!

P.S. I’m so enjoying blogging random stuff from time to time.  If you’re itching for some photo eye-candy, 2 newborns up on the bloggity soon!  I have one due any day, and another due in 2 weeks.  Lots of newborn squishy goodness soon.  Mmmmmm.  Can hardly wait.

Happy Sunday y’all!  [There I go again with dreams of being Christi-the-cowgirl.  Somebody send me some fancy boots, will ya'?]

Love Joy Peace | Cincinnati Family Photographer

I’ve had a vision in my head for a few years (years? yes, years. I procrastinate like no other), and finally I sat my happy designing little self down and put it together…

I printed it as an 11×14 poster at Costco for $9.99.  How ’bout them apples?  It came backed with cardboard, and now it sits upon my office shelf.

I look at it 57 times a day, and I smile.  Big smile.  Because, like I said, it’s been in my head for years.  And I’m so happy to finally have done it.  Yay me!:)

And you should know, dear internet, that I go right over and stare at it for about 15 seconds before I’m about to make a phone call to a not nice person.  So that I am guaranteed to be nice back to them, even when they act all ugly and stuff.

Not that this happens often.

It really doesn’t.

But it did happen last week.  And I was feeling all love joy peace and kindness during our phone conversation.  See how fabulous?

Click HERE to download it for yourself, my lovelies.  Hugs upon you, smooches on your heads.:)

Once it opens, go to file | save as | and save it to your computer.  Easy peasy.

P.S. I printed it as a 5×7 photo for a friend, just for fun.  That would work, too.  The file is sized to 11×14, but you can print other sizes.  Whatever floats your happy little boat.
